for your CHILDREN
Our children are an important part of our lives and we provide activities that will
help them become the men and women God would have them be. During the
church service time, there is a children's church taking place with
teaching at the children's level. |
for your GROWTH
Adult Bible Study class, to keep us growing and maturing, is held for those who are
out of high school. This class examines various aspects of the Christian faith and the
application of this faith to our lives. These classes are held throughout the school year. |
for your FAMILY
Families are the building blocks of Christian Community. Together we work at building
up the family realizing that we need each other to be all that God wants us to be. Various
activities are held to support the family life of our members and friends. |
for your FRIENDS
We understand that our lives involve many people. You will find new friends at Harvest
but you will also find activities to include your old friends in, too. They are always
welcome to be a part of our life, even when it is only occasionally. |
for your TEENS
Our teenagers face many challenges as they pass into adulthood. It is our goal to
provide various opportunities for them to meet together in the context of their church
friends. The summer provides several camp experiences for them through the alliance of
churches where we are involved. |

Committed to receiving the love of God and to giving that love away, Harvest Christian
Church would like to extend an invitation to you:
Please join us for Bible
Study at 9:30am and our worship service 10:30am.
each Sunday.
Come and see what God is doing in our world today!
Harvest Christian Church is committed to living our lives together according to the
Word of God. As you experience Harvest Christian Church, you will discover a people who
have learned to love God, friends and strangers (though strangers quickly become friends).
Not a building, Harvest Christian Church is men, women and children who have taken time to
build relationships among themselves and those around them.
Perhaps one of your first questions is "What do they believe?"
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
- God is one, manifested in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- Through man's fall sin came into the world and that Jesus, by the sacrifice of His life
and the shedding of His blood, has redeemed us.
- The new birth is necessary to all and when fulfilled produces eternal life.
- Baptism is a commandment of our Lord.
- Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God.
- In sanctification by grace, beginning when we are born again, daily being formed into
the image of Jesus Christ.
- In divine healing by the power of God through prayer and laying on of hands.
If you do not have a home church, consider making Harvest Christian Church yours. One
of our deepest needs is fellowship with others. This is especially true of new Christians
seeking to successfully walk in their new life. Such fellowship can be found as a member
of Harvest Christian Church. Membership has mutual benefits and responsibilities for both
the church and the member.

Cell Group Leaders
Members of Harvest Christian Church are committed to a small group that meets in a home
and is led by a trained leader. Here there is care and prayer for the needs of
individuals. It is also a place to bring our friends who are not a part of the church.
Others
Many men and women at Harvest Christian Church serve in
mentoring roles caring for the
body. It is our vision that each member would be caring for another member and, in that
way, all would be well cared for daily.
Our Life
Worship
Worship is a whole-life experience of singing, sharing, teaching, praying, and
fellowshipping. Our God inhabits the praises of His people.
Strong Vocal Praise
(Psa 95:1-2 NIV) Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock
of our salvation. {2} Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music
and song.
(Psa 35:27 NIV) May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may
they always say, "The LORD be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his
servant."
Clapping
(Psa 47:1 NIV) For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm. Clap your
hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.
Dancing
(Psa 149:3 NIV) Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with
tambourine and harp.
(Psa 150:4 NIV) praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and
flute,
Singing in the Spirit
1 Cor. 14-15; Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16
At times, during worship, the congregation may begin singing to the Lord in such a way
that different words and/or melodies are sung by each person. These "spiritual"
songs complement one another to form a beautiful corporate song to the Lord.
Cell Groups
Trying to live in this world is very difficult. We used to have our
"communities" to help us. CELL GROUPS provide the basic community that we all
need, to stand for what we believe and to move forward. They provide us a place of care
and accountability where it is safe to be "me" and you can depend on others to
be there for you. CELL GROUP is the basic building block of the Harvest Christian Church. For current days, times and locations call
(440-323-1986).
Men's Breakfasts
Helping men requires times when they can gather together. On the third Saturday of the
month the men gather for breakfast, Bible study, fellowship and prayer. We start at 8:00am and finish by 9:30.
Church Prayer Meeting
On the first Wednesday night of each month the church gathers to pray instead of meeting in cells. Prayer is our communication with God and His to us. We take this time to pray for the needs of the members, their friends, and the missions of Harvest Christian Church.
I Should Expect the Church to:
- minister to my spiritual needs, especially through the preaching of the Word
- assist me with godly counsel especially in times of decision, stress and difficulty
- provide me with opportunities for Christian fellowship
- serve me and members of my family in matters of religious instruction
- sustain me by the prayers and concern of pastors and fellow believers in any of the
distressing circumstances of life
- be a sound steward of my financial and personal investments in the kingdom of God
The Church Should Expect Me to:
- faithfully attend its services
- be aware of the total church program at home and abroad and to support it by prayer
- live consistent Christian life
- serve in the church and its outreaches according to my abilities
- share my Christian testimony by word and life on a person-to-person basis
- support its work by the methods of tithing (giving a tenth of my income) and offerings
(above my tithe).
Men, women and children working and living together, reaching out and sharing the love
of Christ with each other and their neighbors and caring for each other and those in need
around them, this is Harvest Christian Church.
